This well crafted and fully decorated armour is a nice reproduction of the original armour found in castle Churburg collections. This type of armour was the first form of “all white” steel armour that slowly replaced both mail & coat of plate during second half of XIV century.

The powerful and famous Milanese Missaglia workshop, who probably designed this suit for Ulrich IV von Matsch, has included all the latest innovations typical of late XIV century : lance rest, etched brass decoration, reinforcing stop rib (a raised strip of steel riveted to upper breastplate to guide blows & trust away from the neck).

The muscle cuirass was a common style of armour worn from VII BC to V AD by Greek and Roman officers. This ribbed cuirass is designed after the greek-roman style muscle armor. 

Our Cuirass is hand-shaped from a single, large piece of 18 gauge mild steel, carefully pounded into the shape of a nicely muscled male torso. Our craftsmen go into great details while sculpturing the chest, peck and belly button. It comes with a front plate and a back plate and leather straps to wear them. As good as the authentic, this is a true collector's piece.

The Lorica Segmentata is a type of segmented armour exclusively used during the Roman Empire.

This armour consists of broad steel strips/plates, fastened to thick leather straps, which are arranged horizontally on the body, overlapping downwards. The fitments that close the various plate sections together are, however made of brass. The cuirass is tied shut front and back with leather thongs. The upper body and shoulders are protected by additional shoulder guards.

This superb replica is being hand-crafted from 18 gauge mild steel. It is quite flexible and allows plenty of freedom of movement.

Our closely copied Lorica Segmentata can be worn to a costume party but is also solid enough for combat re-enactments. They are being widely used in movies as well.

A pauldron is a component of plate armour, which evolved from spaulders in the 15th century. Pauldrons tend to be larger than spaulders, covering the shoulder, the armpit and sometimes parts of the back and chest. Pauldrons typically consists of a single large dome-shaped piece to cover the shoulder with multiple lamés attached to it to defend the arm and upper shoulder.

Our hand forged pauldrons are made in 18 gauge mild steel.
